SINSE Hospital in Luanda
Luanda, Angola
The SINSE Hospital is designed to be a building that respects its surrounding and that integrates a consolidated urban area, while responding to its functional needs and demands. This hospital is built from scratch and it assumes a trapezoidal shape, developed in two main floors plus a small basement area. The volume that houses de ground floor serves as structural support for the first floor, in which are located the inpatient units. This first floor volume stands out from the main façade, demarking the main entrance at the same time as it allows a comfortable access to the building, once it creates a shaded and protected area.
