Studio Contra Ltd

The project is a private beach house designed for a client seeking a retreat from the city to enjoy the coast with family and friends. The 4-bedroom house sits on an expansive 6,000 sqm site populated by over 75 mature coconut palm trees among which we carefully nestled the building so as to disrupt them as minimally
as possible. Central to the project’s concept is a symmetrical plan
that fans out at an angle, opening to the southern, ocean-facing side to give every room a clear and uninterrupted view of the Atlantic Ocean. Finishes are kept simple and calm; concrete construction finished in sand-white paint, accented by red terracotta tiles and natural stone and timbers.
