FABULOUS URBAN

FABULOUS URBAN | NIGERIA FOUNDATION is an urban design, research, and advocacy agency working across the Global South. We're based in Zurich, Stuttgart, and Lagos—bringing a research-driven, hands-on, feminist approach to cities.

We work through three pillars:

Advocacy and Policy Change — Like our reconstruction plan for Precious Seeds in Oworonshoki, we push for gendered urban planning policies and strengthen women's roles in local governance by centering their everyday practices.

Research — Projects like "Violence-Free Access to Water Supply for Women in Precious Seeds, Oworonshoki" build knowledge about Southern and African cities, showing how feminist urban planning creates more equitable spaces.

Designing and Implementing Game Changers — We develop projects that disrupt exclusionary systems—like dignified shelters for women living in poverty and mobile dry diversion toilets—giving women access to resources and participation in the city.

Our work examines power structures in cities: who owns land, who accesses resources, and who has agency in urban spaces. We operate from Zurich, Stuttgart, and Lagos depending on the project and funding, and we're registered in both Switzerland and Nigeria.
