EUmies Awards | Young Talent 2023 – The Laboratory of Education

The Young Talent category of the EUmies Awards aims to support the talent of recently graduated Architects, Urban Planners and Landscape Architects, who will be responsible for transforming our environment in the future. It emerged from an interest in the initial stages of these students’ development and a desire to support their talent as they enter the professional world. By bringing together the most talented graduates and the best architecture firms and institutions, the Winners of the EUmies Awards | Young Talent will have the chance to find comprehensive strategies enhancing synergies and complementarities with the firms and institutions of their interest.

The EUmies Awards | Young Talent 2023 as (inherent) part of the European Union Prize for Contemporary Architecture – Mies van der Rohe Awards, organised by the Fundació Mies van der Rohe with the support of the Creative Europe programme of the European Union. It is organised in partnership with the European Association for Architectural Education (EAAE) and the Architects’ Council of Europe (ACE-CAE); World Architects as a founding partner; the European Cultural Centre as a partner in Venice; sponsored by Jung, Jansen and Regent Lighting; and with the support of USM and ALMA.

The EUmies Awards | Young Talent 2023 will be part of the official Collateral Events of the Biennale Architettura 2023 with an exhibition and hosting the Awards Ceremony and debates. The participation of the award in Venice with the proposal EUmies Awards. Young Talent 2023. The Laboratory of Education has been admitted by the curator of the 18th International Architecture Exhibition of La Biennale di Venezia Lesley Lokko and will take place at Palazzo Mora (Cannaregio 3659) from May to November 2023.

  • On 29th June 2023, Creative Europe and the Fundació Mies van der Rohe announced the Winners of the 2023 edition of the EU Prize for Contemporary Architecture / Mies van der Rohe Awards in the Young Talent category. The projects were revealed during the EUmies Awards Day 2023, which included the Granting Ceremony and Debates at the Palazzo Michiel in Venice, as part of the Collateral Events of the 18th International Architecture Exhibition – La Biennale di Venezia.
