MERITXELL INARAJA GENÍS (1968) is an architect graduated from ETSAB (1994) and holds a Postgraduate Diploma in Museography and Design from UPC.

Since 1995, she has led her own practice, specialising in renovation and heritage intervention. Her work includes the restoration of the Vic Walls, the Garraf Archive, the Unió de Cooperadors de Gavà (J.L. Sert and J. Torres Clavé), and the Castell de la Tossa de Montbui (FAD Awards 2021). The rehabilitation of the Antiga Fàbrica de la Moneda – La Seca in Barcelona has received several national and international awards and was featured in the 13th Venice Architecture Biennale (2012).

She is currently an Associate Professor of Restoration Projects at the University of Girona and teaches in the Master’s Degree in Restoration at Ramon Llull University. She has also been a member of several cultural and architectural institutions, including the Heritage Commission of the Generalitat of Catalonia (2009–2022), and is currently a member of the Scientific Committee of the UIA World Congress 2026.
