Academic Building in UB Healthcare Campus Bellvitge

This project forms part of the extension of Barcelona University's new health sciences campus in Bellvitge, to the south of Barcelona. The new building is a large horizontal volume with a ground floor for public access which directly connects with the redesigned public area.

The building is arranged in a perpendicular and adjacent manner to the existing academic building for easy and direct connection. The base of the building is formed with walls of concrete and large glass sections, while the rest of the volume varies according to the programmes involved and orientation. The building becomes a socially unifying element of this growing campus.
